Worth the Effort?

I recently paused one of the dating apps that I am on. No real reason other than I am tired. It is so much work to swipe left and swipe right. And when I do swipe right and am matched with someone, the text message exchanges go on forever! Online dating is too much effort.

This is exactly why so many of my single friends opt to not be on them. I completely understand, however, unless I am going to marry the Amazon delivery guy (whom I see a lot less of now that I no longer work from home), I need a way of meeting men. Online dating has worked for so many couples. It is worth holding out hope.

At times I see it as a game. It can be entertaining. You would not believe the photos men share or the lack of description that they offer. How am I to know if we are a good match if you don’t tell me anything about yourself?! Online dating is tiresome and you must take it in small doses.
