Comfort in Breakups

When I write my book about singleness and dating the first chapter will be about breakups. It is best to get that discussion out of the way first. Not every relationship ends with a breakup but a majority of them do, It is encouraging to know that some people experience a breakup before getting back together for a lifetime.

When you are going through a breakup it is nearly impossible to see that the pain will ease and your grief over the loss of that person and the relationship you had will eventually go away. It is comforting to know that people live through breakups. I mean, breaking up can be really rough and sometimes you don’t see a way through the aftermath. But people break up all the time and they survive. May it bring some comfort knowing that you are not the only one.

For all those still thinking of your lost love, be encouraged that the best is yet to come. I know it hurts and the heartache is real. Take time to mourn, but know that there will be a time to put the past behind you and move on.
