Beautiful!

One word to describe your Thanksgiving Break. Quick! Don't think about it, just say the word. "Beautiful!" That's my word. Almost everything, from the colorful leaves to the downpour of rain, was full of beauty. I slept late and woke up to a fresh pot of coffee and blueberry pancakes, made especially for me by my dad. I mixed up some cookies late one evening. They actually weren't so beautiful but my pecan pie, baked the next night, made up for it in all it's splendor! What was really beautiful were the faces of my family. My mom loves having me home and of course, I am still daddy's little girl. It was a beautiful site for my family to ride in the car together up to Rome, GA on Thanksgiving Day. It was just like old times, except we didn't have nearly as many arguments along the way. Seeing my grandmother for the first time since her husband's funeral brought strength to my heart. She is doing well. My aunts, uncles, and cousins were also a nice sight. It is unbelievable how quickly they grow up. The feast that my mom cooked up looked and tasted amazing! And following tradition, the ride home took us past some beautiful Christmas lights as we listened to carols on the radio welcoming the next holiday. Christmas is just around the corner!
