MLB News

For those who know me, you know my love of baseball, therefore, I must share this with you (even if you don't like the game). Tonight, I am one of the proud members of Red Sox Nation. Check out the no-hitter thrown by Clay Buckholz against the Orioles. It was his second major league start at the age of 23. I was at his first start a few weeks ago (August 17) against the Angels. He is the third ML pitcher since 1900 to throw a no-no in his first or second start. It's exciting!

This is a bright spot in comparison to my struggling Bravos. What hurts most is that they have lost 8 out of the last 11 games, when the Mets were losing their own games. We gained nothing in the race for the division.

National League East Standings

New York
Philadelphia GB - 3.0
Atlanta GB - 6.5
Florida GB - 16.5
Washington GB - 16.5

They just keep losing and this weekend they keep losing to the Mets! Please Smoltz, as an old guy, please throw a no-no against your old pal Glavine! I have hope that there won't be a sweep. We need a win! I'll be attending a game in NY next week and hope my boys can pull things together.

  1. I made it to another Red Sox game tonight. They won - beating the Jays 5-3. Meanwhile, my Braves keep losing. This time to the Phillies 5-2. Next week's trip to Shea might be a little less exciting if the Bravos are 12 games back.
