Jesus Heals

My heart felt like it had been crushed. How could it be over? It had barely started. I thought things were going so well. We talked about the future together. Both of us were ready. But after one conversation it was over. We said good-bye and I couldn't hold back the tears any longer. There was no reason to hide them. My heart was broken and it was healing to express them. I cried on my friend's shoulder as I poured another glass of wine. The details of that night are a little fuzzy but I'm pretty sure there wasn't a drop left in the bottle by morning and my aching head was a good indicator that I was the one who drank it all. This did not heal my heart. Once the physical pain was gone, I still hurt inside. I still had so many questions as to why the relationship ended.
Breakups are hard. So hard that many people remain in a difficult relationship just to avoid breaking up. But when you give up one thing, there is potential for growth and refinement. When you walk away from something that's not working, you have the chance to walk into something that will work.

God heals the brokenhearted. If your heart has been crushed by a broken relationship,  allow Jesus to comfort you and restore your soul.
