Expecting!

There are many friends of mine whose bellies I have watched grow over the past months. Most of them are filled with wonder and awe as they expect their first baby. One friend just gave birth to a precious baby girl, while another dear friend of mine will be having her second little girl next month. It is all very exciting!

I would like to announce that I am also expecting!

In a little over 2 months, I will experience the joy of waking up early at the sound of crying and coming home early to a hungry mouth. It will be sweet to have a little one to cuddle and spoil with all sorts of toys. I worry whether or not I will be a good mom and if the little guy will be smart and play well with others. There is so much pressure in being a mother and yet, such enjoyment in seeing a baby grow to adulthood. I look forward to spending hours teaching him new things and laughing as we explore the world together. There will be some difficult times of discipline as he learns right from wrong yet plenty of rewards as he succeeds in areas of achievement.
