Car Finds

Earlier today I cleaned my car - outside and inside. It was such a beautiful day out that I had to do something productive while I could. It's interesting what I found inside my car as I vacuumed.

In the trunk:
  • pink camping chair (left over from a really fun summer)
  • large golf umbrella
  • compact umbrella (broken, thus I threw it away)
  • Eddie Bauer recreational blanket
  • extra light bulb for my tail light
  • a baseball, a softball, and a glove (in case I meet a guy who loves Jesus and likes baseball)
  • a gift bag (never know when I'll need to wrap a gift)
  • 1 large Boston street atlas
  • 2 Us atlases (one well used and torn, the other a replacement)
  • Entertainment coupon book for Boston (not used yet)
  • window scraper/brush (not yet needed since it hasn't snowed)

In the console:

  • touch-up paint for the exterior of my car (much needed item in Boston - the city of bumper cars)
  • jar of petroleum jelly (used at youth meeting and then kept for my dry lips)
  • cell phone charger
  • cell phone hands-free ear piece
  • two sets of plastic wear with napkin (minus the fork)
  • a pen
  • a Cambridge parking ticket (one of three that I contested and got out of!)
  • a few CDs
  • several small pieces of paper with directions scribbled on them

Under the seats/in the floor boards/on the back seat:

  • small bag of Christmas CDs (I love Christmas music!)
  • two cases of CDs (mainly Christian, but some variety)
  • 3 other pens
  • three Nalgene water bottles (each with a small amount of water in them)
  • wheel lug-nut locks for tires (minus one that went missing when it was on my hub cap)
  • 2 umbrellas
  • Dunkin Donuts napkins
  • Dick's Sporting Goods coupons (from softball this summer)
  • a small Boston street atlas (in the driver-side door - for easy access, which is essential in this city)
  • 3 pairs of gloves (black leather, red fleece, and black stretchy knit)

If what is in a person's car says something about him/her, what do these items say about me? What's in your car?

  1. I think this says you're well prepared. And you usually have better things to do than clean out your car. :) I would be frightened to know what's in my car. 2-year-old french fries, anyone?
