June
The summer is slowly slipping away. Here is this past month in pictures. Enjoy!
One wet Saturday afternoon, my friends and I enjoyed the tour and the tasting at the Sam Adams' Brewery in Boston! The Sam Summer brew has definitely been a highlight of the warm, humid, lazy evenings.
I volunteered with a few other members of my church at the Cambridge Arts Festival. We were assigned the kid's area. My specific task was to help children glue various objects on a puppet that they were creating. They used things such as buttons for eyes, yarn for hair, pipe-cleaners for arms, feathers for whatever, and of course, glitter for everything else!
Seeing Alyssa Grace twice in one month was a wonderful treat. (This is actually a picture taken Memorial Day weekend when I was forced to stay in Atlanta. It was the first time I saw the precious baby girl. She was only 2.5 weeks old!)
While I was in Atlanta just this past Monday, my three close friends from high school and I met for lunch. The two that now have infants brought them. Caleb (above) was born in February to my friend Michelle. Alyssa was the other baby - she's changed a lot in three weeks. They were such good sleepers while we ate and caught up. They both woke up as we were leaving and so of course, I had to hold at least one of them. I am rather sad that I live so far away and don't get to see them that often.
We arrived in time to watch a little of the Braves BP. That's Chuck James on the right - the rookie starter won the third game against Tampa Bay last Sunday to give the Braves a series win (finally).

It was a good thing that I was home for my mom's birthday, since last year I didn't remember until weeks after. My mom and I enjoyed a dinner out to celebrate (63rd...shhhhh! Don't tell her I wrote that.)

It was great to watch A. Jones, Langerhns, and C. Jones beat the Yanks that night! It was even better that the Red Sox shut down the Mets in Fenway the same evening. My Braves should not be counted out this early in the season. They seem to have had just as slow of a month as I had. Things should be picking up real soon!

We came back from Beach Project and we were like, "what the heck happened to the Braves?" I hope they improve, but it's not looking too good. You look cute at the game though :)
